Bio
Brettnee Denise
Beartrack is the 13 year old daughter of Jolene Beartrack. She
has a brother, Jordan Beartrack. The family resides in Apache,
Oklahoma. Brettnee is of Kiowa, Cheyenne and Comanche descent.
Her grandparents are
Vohn & Glori Ahtone; Tonilynn Soontay & Joey Goombi. Her
great-grandparents are Madeline Pewo Soontay, the late Howard “Tony”
Soontay and the late Leon “Stix” Beartrack. Brettnee is an 8th
grade student in Apache where she is active in cheerleading, softball,
basketball, academic meets and the Gifted and Talented Program in
Language Arts and Mathmatics. Her scholastic honors include being
a member of the Oklahoma State Honor Society. Brettnee currently
maintains a 4.0 GPA.
Brettnee currently serves as O-Ho-Mah Lodge Princess, a title she has
held since she was 6 years old. She is a former member of the
Southern Plains Sign Language Ensemble. Brettnee performed for
the 45th Infantry Division Museum on Veteran’s Day to honor her
great-grandfather Howard “Tony” Soontay, a member of the 45th Infantry
Division.
Her cultural activities include dancing and contesting at pow wows
. Her hobbies include reading, Myspace and being with family and
friends. One of her favorite athletic activities is
softball. This past summer she was the starting 3rd basemen for
her summer league softball team which recently won the state tournament.
“Diabetes Awareness” is her platform as Jr. Miss Indian Lawton.
