Platform
"Native American Children with Arthritis"

I would like to inform people on Native American Children with arthritis because I too am afflicted with arthritis.  Most people are not aware of children who have arthritis.  I know what it is like to be a child or young adult with arthritis.  There are many cases in the Comanche Tribe children that have to deal with this disease.  It is very hard on a child growing up with this because children want to play sports and be active in school activities.  I would like to be an Ambassador for Comanche children and all native american children that are coping with this same ordeal.  I would like to help them and give them encouragement.  Even though they may be fighting this disease, it does not mean you can't be active and do the things you love the most like being active, running, playing sports and just enjoying life.  I am a testament ot this, I have overcome the obstacles of arthritis and the limitations of the disease.  I don't think that grownups or other children realize how hard it is on someone so young to deal with such pain and stress on their body.  The best way to educate someone about this is to tell them what goes on when you have a bad flare up with this or can barely walk.  Some people think it is just an old person's disease but is not.  Children of all ages deal with this as well as Native American children.
